I've never read an Evanovitch book before. Actually, I listened to most of the book on CD and then had to return it. Luckily my library had the book in hard copy and I finished the last few pages. I think listening to the book made me enjoy the book more. I really liked the reader's voice and how it somehow fit every character. I don't think I would have had the patience to finish this book if I was just reading. There seem to be a lot of extraneous moments outside of searching for the stones and a lot of listing. So much listing of items! That was driving me crazy. But it was entertaining fluff, especially to listen to. This doesn't make me want to pick up another one of her books, though.
