So Many Books, So Little Time

I read everything. Unless it's not good.
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making - Ana Juan, Catherynne M. Valente This is definitely a book for a certain type of reader. It reminded me quite a lot of The Wizard of Oz books in tone and whimsy. I liked the unreliable narrator and the random interludes. I thought that there were quite a lot of things to keep track of and I never got the full grasp of some of these things. For example, the Marid was there for such a short time and yet he seemed so important to September. And I didn't quite understand how the Marid birthing structure worked. But it was quite a lovely book and I enjoyed September's point of view very much.
